Occupational Therapist School Setting in Hialeah, FL

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with occupational therapy services across several educational settings near Hialeah, FL. You’ll have the flexibility to work at various schools each week:

• Approximately 30 minutes per week at a Charter School in Lee County
• 2-3 hours per week at a Naples-area innovative preparatory school
• Serve K-12 students with two distinct time commitments: one caseload at 30 minutes per week, another at 90 minutes per week
• Start date: August 10th

We welcome candidates interested in a virtual (VOCO) assignment, provided all credentialing requirements for remote service delivery are met.

Qualifications:

• Credentialed Occupational Therapist with relevant state licensure
• Experience in school-based settings, especially supporting K-12 populations
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Comfortable collaborating with on-site and virtual school staff
• Prior experience or openness to delivering teletherapy services (strongly preferred for VOCO)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated

What You’ll Do:

• Assess and evaluate student needs and develop individualized therapy goals
• Provide direct OT sessions in accordance with IEP recommendations (in-person or VOCO)
• Document progress and adjust plans to best support student development
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment
• Ensure compliance with school, district, and state guidelines for OT delivery
