Special Education Teachers Needed | Wilmington, DE | 2026–2027
Looking for a new opportunity for the upcoming school year? ProCare Therapy is partnering with a school district in Wilmington, Delaware that is looking to add two full-time Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year.
These positions are a great fit for educators who enjoy a mix of collaboration, classroom support, and targeted small-group instruction. You'll work alongside general education teachers while providing individualized support to students throughout the school day.
Assignment Details
Location: Wilmington, DE
School Year: Approximately August 10, 2026 – June 14, 2027
Schedule: Full-Time, approximately 7:45 AM – 3:25 PM
Pay: $38 per hour
Setting: On-site only
Caseload: Approximately 23 students
Planning Time: Lunch and two prep periods included
Position 1: High School English Support
- Work primarily with 10th and 12th grade students
- Provide push-in Special Education services within English classrooms
- Teach two small-group English classes
Position 2: Secondary Special Education
- Support students across 8th–12th grade, with no more than two grade levels
- Provide a combination of push-in and pull-out Special Education services
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to support student success
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of school-based Special Education experience
- Active state-issued teaching licensure (Delaware)
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
