Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of high school students by stepping into a rewarding contract position as an Occupational Therapist. This dynamic role offers the chance to support a caseload of approximately 18 students in grades 9-12, guiding them toward greater independence and academic success. You’ll collaborate with educators and support teams in a structured, supportive environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid Occupational Therapist licensure
- Experience in school-based OT services; ability to address complex needs
- Strong understanding of adolescent development (grades 9-12 preferred)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering student independence and engagement
- Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized OT interventions to high school students with varied and complex needs
- Assess student abilities and develop tailored treatment plans
- Partner with teachers, counselors, and other professionals to support student goals
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Offer consultative services to staff and families to facilitate student success
- Adapt and modify activities or the environment to enhance student participation in daily school routines
What to Expect:This contract opportunity runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours (7:30 am–3:00 pm).
