Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electronic Assembler 2 for a contract opportunity in Buffalo, NY.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o 2 years of assembly or electronic experience; or an associate degree in electronics or technical discipline.

o Soldering experience.

o Experience performing manufacturing / assembly tasks, in a metric-based work environment.

o Ability to move objects weighing up to 10 pounds from one location to another.

o Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

o U.S. citizenship


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

seeking an Electronic Technician to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Aerospace / Defense client in Buffalo, New York; an organization focused on development and production of state-of-the-art Simulation Systems.

What You Will Get to Do:

o Test and troubleshoot RF products including RF Microelectronic, RF amplifiers, switches, mixers, etc.

o Test and troubleshoot digital circuit cards.

o Analyze equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in products and integrated test systems.

o Diagnose non-conformances using schematics, wiring diagrams, source control drawings and other test procedures and equipment.

o Perform RF tuning on microelectronics, which requires working under a microscope for much of workday.

o Perform maintenance or calibration on test equipment.

o Record and ensure validity of entries into data collection and test systems.

o Interpret and recommend corrective action to test findings.

o Execute proper documentation of actions performed in applicable forms.

o Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.

o Ability to learn tasks under microscope on very small assemblies with outstanding manual dexterity and precision.

o Record production data accurately in travelers, shop floor systems, and quality records.

o Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to assist in the writing or modification of test procedures.

o Follow all safety, ESD, FOD, and cleanliness guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant work area.

o Successfully complete in-house workmanship criteria training classes for continued employment.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o Hands-on use of the drawings, wire lists, source control drawings, or test procedures.

o Experience working with microelectronics and performing tuning under a microscope.

o Experience in working with test equipment.

o Experience working with engineering teams.

oExperience with soldering and electronic assembly processes.

o Working knowledge of defense electronics, with a preference to Electronic Warfare systems.

o Strong verbal and written communication skills.

o Experience working in a performance based and metrics driven culture.

o Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.


REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High School Diploma/GED is required.

School must be accredited.


WORK HOURS:

Full-Time 9/80 workweek. This position is for 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM (hours include unpaid 30-minute lunch). Schedule subject to change based on business needs.
