Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Experience working with students who have disabilities, particularly those with autism or requiring resource support
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
• Ability to adapt and modify curriculum to meet diverse student needs
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, therapists, families, and support staff

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop, implement, and oversee IEPs for assigned students in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Deliver engaging instruction that accommodates a variety of learning needs and styles
• Use evidence-based strategies to foster academic, social, and emotional growth
• Progress monitor and report on student achievements and challenges
• Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Advocate for student needs and ensure equitable access to educational opportunities
• Resource Specialist: Provide targeted interventions and support in general education settings
• Mod/Severe (Autism): Create structured, nurturing classroom environments using individualized behavioral and instructional strategies
