Make a meaningful impact working onsite as a full-time Special Education Teacher serving students with diverse learning needs. This contract role is based near Olathe, KS and gives dedicated educators an opportunity to provide crucial support and instruction within a positive and collaborative school environment. With a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours, you’ll build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and families while helping learners achieve their full potential.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (required)
  • Proven experience working with students with IEPs and diverse educational needs
  • Strong understanding of instructional adaptations and differentiated strategies
  • Excellent communication skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to maintain organized records and develop individualized educational plans
  • Compassion, patience, and creativity in problem-solving
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction in accordance with IEP goals and district curriculum
  • Assess student progress and adapt lesson plans to meet individual learning needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and welcoming classroom culture
  • Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress
  • Create and monitor behavioral intervention plans as needed
  • Uphold compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations
