Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Demonstrated experience providing psychological assessments, counseling, and consultation in school settings
- Strong understanding of special education laws and procedures, including IEP development and eligibility criteria
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Ability to organize and manage a caseload with attention to detail and timely documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to assess student needs and inform interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to eligibility determinations for special education services
- Provide short-term counseling, behavioral interventions, and crisis response as needed
- Develop and monitor student progress on intervention plans
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and parents to facilitate student success and advocate for appropriate resources
- Support school-wide initiatives related to mental health, wellness, and safe learning environments
