Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ growth by stepping into a School Psychologist position serving a dedicated elementary center. This contract role is well-suited for compassionate professionals ready to make a difference through the end of the school year, with the possibility of varied responsibilities in the second semester.
You’ll play a vital part in the school community, initially covering a maternity leave and then moving to a flexible, floating assignment. There is flexibility in scheduling, as both part-time (minimum of three days per week) and full-time applicants are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
- Current and active Pennsylvania School Psychologist Educator Certificate is required
- Previous experience working within an elementary or K-12 school setting is desirable
- Strong skills in both formal and informal assessment, report writing, and collaborative consultation
- Comfortable adapting to shifting caseloads and diverse student needs
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities
- Willingness to work onsite and support various student populations
Responsibilities:
- Perform psychoeducational evaluations, behavior assessments, and eligibility determinations
- Provide recommendations for interventions and support plans based on assessment data
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to promote students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being
- Support crisis intervention, consultative services, and staff training as needed
- Document all services and maintain compliance with state and federal education requirements
- Adapt to a floating position after the initial maternity leave, including a mix of student evaluations, support for adult education, and other duties as assigned
