Interventional Radiologist - RUHS
Job Description
The radiology division within our organization is seeking an interventional radiologist to join our team.
Situated in the picturesque Southern California region known as the Inland Empire, our facility is conveniently located midway between Los Angeles and Palm Springs. This prime location allows for easy access to a variety of activities, including surfing at the beach, camping in the desert, skiing in the mountains, or enjoying a theatrical performance in Los Angeles. Additionally, there are six major airports within an hour's drive.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about broadening the scope of interventional procedures, which currently encompass chemoembolization, cryoablation, TIPS, venous thrombectomy, mesenteric angiography, and trauma embolization, alongside essential procedures such as biopsies, central lines, ports, and dialysis access. This role offers the potential for 80-100% interventional radiology work. If the candidate is interested in additional film interpretation, that can be arranged. Call responsibilities for interventional procedures are shared and occur on weekdays after 5 PM, as well as on weekends and holidays. Weekend film reading is not a requirement.
Our organization operates as a 439-bed university-affiliated teaching hospital, featuring over 60 primary and specialty care clinics throughout Riverside County. Medical students, residents from various specialties, and critical care fellows rotate through our facility. Recognized as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, we are a Level I Trauma Center, host a new Center of Excellence for Research, and serve as a Primary Stroke Center. A radiology residency program, which includes an integrated clinical year, commenced in July 2022. The department is rapidly growing to accommodate the needs of our patients, conducting over 200,000 imaging examinations annually and continuously upgrading our equipment, including a new state-of-the-art interventional suite.
This position is available within the Radiology department, affiliated with the Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group.
