Special Education Teacher - Surprise, AZ

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to teach diverse learners in a resource classroom setting
• Collaborative mindset for working with fellow educators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach and support students in a resource classroom with a caseload of 25-35
• Implement differentiated instructional strategies tailored to student needs
• Develop, update, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
• Communicate progress and strategies with parents and guardians
• Effectively manage the classroom to create an inclusive and positive learning environment
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to evaluations and eligibility meetings
• Participate in ongoing professional development and staff meetings

Position Details:

• Contract position
• Start date: ASAP, ending 5/21/2026
• Full-time schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
• Two openings available
• Resource classroom located at Union/Hurley
