Job Description

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience teaching in special education, with a focus on TABS 3-5 preferred
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
- Knowledge of current special education laws, IEP development, and progress monitoring
- Compassion, patience, and a student-centered approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs within the TABS 3-5 curriculum
- Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess students’ academic and behavioral progress, adjusting strategies as necessary for optimal growth
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, social workers, and families to support student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
