Job Description

The assignment features two distinct classroom environments, providing valuable experience with a close-knit caseload and strong professional support.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials (state certification required)
- Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students
- Understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Compassionate approach to students with medical and toileting needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to each student’s abilities and goals
- Manage two caseloads:
- Elementary classroom with 6 students; toileting support required, no feeding assistance needed
- Middle school classroom with 11 students; one student with a feeding tube, some toileting support required
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate actively with teaching assistants, a behavior technician, and classroom aides
- Deliver specialized instruction and monitor ongoing progress
- Maintain accurate documentation regarding student performance and support provided
