Job Description
Make an impact supporting elementary and secondary students as a school psychologist for the 2025-2026 academic year. This rewarding contract opportunity in the Bridgeport, CT area spans from August 25th, 2025, through June 11th, 2026, with working hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week. Play a pivotal role in student development while collaborating closely with educators, families, and the PPT team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid CT 070 School Psychologist License
- Previous experience working as a school psychologist, ideally in an elementary and/or secondary school setting
- Proficient in conducting evaluations, re-evaluations, and providing comprehensive psychological assessments
- Skilled in report writing, counseling students, and facilitating positive behavioral interventions
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments, including evaluations and re-evaluations, to determine students’ educational needs and eligibility for services
- Write detailed, accurate, and timely evaluation reports
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention for students as needed
- Deliver direct support to students, including guidance and social-emotional interventions
- Participate in and support PPT (Planning and Placement Team) meetings, contributing expertise to educational planning and accommodations
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor student plans
- Maintain clear records and adhere to all regulatory and ethical guidelines
