The Accounts Receivable (AR) will join a well-established company that operates within a dynamic product-based industry and continues to invest in technology, process improvements, and scalable finance operations to support future growth. Reporting to the Director of Accounting Operations, the Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager will lead a team of 5 Accounts Receivable Specialists who manage incoming payments and client relationships nationally.

Primary Responsibilities for the AR Manager:
- Lead and coach a team of AR professionals while promoting accountability, efficiency, and service excellence.
- Analyze aging reports, collection activity, and account trends to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding balances.
- Partner with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and customer inquiries.
- Oversee invoicing, collections, cash application, account maintenance, and reconciliation activities.
- Drive process improvements through automation, reporting enhancements, and workflow optimization.
- Monitor customer credit risk and support account reviews to minimize exposure and write-offs.
- Prepare updates for leadership on receivables performance, collection efforts, and operational metrics.
- Assist with staffing, training, special projects, and department initiatives that support business objectives.
- Coordinate escalation efforts with external resources when necessary.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development across the AR function.
- 4+ years of progressive Accounts Receivable experience in a fast-paced business environment.
- Experience leading, mentoring, or developing collections, cash application, or customer account teams.
- Strong knowledge of billing, collections, account reconciliations, cash application, and receivables management.
- ERP system proficiency and advanced Excel skills, including reporting and data analysis tools.
- Comfortable learning new technologies and automation platforms that improve operational efficiency.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to navigate challenging customer situations.
- Understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of balancing accuracy with productivity.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered.
