Job Overview
The Multi-Modality Technologist is a skilled professional who is credentialed to conduct at least two (2) procedures in MRI, CT, diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, interventional radiology, radiation therapy, mammography, or nuclear medicine. This role requires regular support for additional modalities, necessitating availability to work in those areas and provide on-call coverage as required. The technologist is dedicated to delivering patient-centered care and adheres to the standards expected of a registered technologist.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of imaging procedures across multiple modalities.
- Ensure patient comfort and understanding by effectively communicating the details of exams and procedures.
- Maintain proficiency in at least two imaging modalities.
- Provide on-call support for additional modalities as needed.
- Uphold the highest standards of practice in all technical operations.
All age groups are served in this role.
Educational Requirements- Mandatory Education: High School Diploma or GED, along with completion of an accredited Radiology program.
- Preferred Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Strong understanding of radiographic procedures and practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients regarding their exams.
- Proficient in computer software with troubleshooting capabilities.
- Familiarity with imaging and patient care equipment.
- Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Credentialed, certified, or licensed in at least two (2) different Radiology modalities through state regulations, ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or ARDMS.
A minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in Radiology is required.
