Homme Youth and Family Programs (Lutheran Social Services of WI & Upper MI) Full-Time | 2nd shift 2 PM - 10 PM $18.50/hr (Weekdays) | $20.50/hr (Weekends) 4-day work week | Every other weekend required

What You'll Do\n

As a Youth Counselor, you'll work directly with residents (primarily males ages 10–15), serving as a positive role model and advocate. Responsibilities include:

  • \n

    Maintaining sight and sound supervision

    • \n
  • \n

    Recording observations and daily documentation

    • \n
  • \n

    Supporting personal hygiene and safe living spaces

    • \n
  • \n

    Transporting and escorting clients to activities and appointments

    • \n
  • \n

    Preparing meals and supervising mealtimes

    • \n
  • \n

    Communicating updates to parents, therapists, and professionals

    • \n
  • \n

    Responding appropriately in times of crisis

    • \n

Qualifications\n
    \n
  • \n

    Required: High School Diploma or GED, valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record

    • \n
  • \n

    Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Human Services (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Law Enforcement, or related field)

    • \n
  • \n

    Experience: 1+ year in Human Services, crisis management, Mandt/CPI training (or ability to complete within 90 days)

    Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours, lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
