Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Intervention Specialist, supporting 7th–12th grade students for a minimum of 3 days per week, with the potential for full-time hours if desired. This position is located near Galion, OH, and offers a weekly commitment of 21 hours between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. What we’re looking for:
- Current Ohio Intervention Specialist License required
- Background working with middle and/or high school students is strongly preferred
- Strong skills in delivering Specially Designed Instruction (SDI)
- Ability to conduct thorough progress monitoring and student performance reporting
- Experience creating instructional trials and student supports
- Positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
Key responsibilities:
- Provide SDI to students in 7th–12th grades, tailoring approaches to meet varied learning needs
- Conduct regular progress monitoring and accurate reporting to track student growth
- Develop and facilitate instructional trials and implement student-specific supports
- Coordinate with other educators and support staff to optimize students’ educational experiences
- No IEP writing required, allowing for full focus on instruction and monitoring
