Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift

  • Day shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Rotating Saturdays, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

We are seeking a reliable, patient-focused X-Ray Technologist for a full-time contract role at a busy outpatient family medicine team in Kansas City!

In this role, you will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services, prepare patients for procedures, and collaborate closely with our clinical team to ensure exceptional patient care.



Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, verify demographic and insurance details, and guide them through their imaging exams with clear instruction and supportive positioning.

  • Imaging & Quality Control: Perform routine diagnostic X-ray procedures ordered by physicians, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants. Perform and document regular quality control measures on equipment.

  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and radiation safety protocols. Sterilize equipment and work areas following infection control standards.

  • Clinic Operations: Track daily procedure logs for monthly activity counts. Keep the X-ray suite stocked with necessary supplies and immediately report any equipment repair needs.

  • Team Collaboration: Communicate with clinical staff and ancillary departments to maintain a smooth, timely patient flow. Attend clinic meetings and participate in assigned committees.



Requirements & Qualifications

  • License & Certification: Valid ARRT certification and current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

  • Registration: Active registration with the Missouri Society of Radiologic Technologists (MSRT) (or graduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy/Radiologic Technology program).

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience or specialized education in radiologic techniques.

  • Skills: Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, body mechanics, patient movement, and medical terminology. Basic computer and data entry skills required.

  • Soft Skills: Outstanding communication skills, professional demeanor, and a strong commitment to high-quality customer service.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Ultrasound Experience: Hands-on experience or training in Ultrasound / Sonography is a major plus!



Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Work takes place in both well-lit and dim-lit exam and procedure rooms.

  • Requires frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, and reaching.

  • Occasional lifting/moving of objects up to 30 pounds.

  • Continuous visual focus on computer screens.
