Job Description We are seeking a Calypso Developer - Capital Markets to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Calypso platform development, Java, integrations, and Capital Markets trade lifecycle and a proven ability to deliver scalable Calypso solutions across Front, Middle, and Back Office. Responsibilities: Design, develop, customize, and maintain Calypso applications and interfaces. Configure and enhance Calypso workflows, trade processing, settlement, and risk functions. Develop custom modules using Java, Calypso APIs, and scripting tools. Support Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office processes. Translate business requirements into technical designs and solutions. Build and maintain inbound and outbound integrations with trading, market data, accounting, payment, and reporting systems. Develop and optimize batch jobs, scheduled tasks, reports, and messaging components. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes. Participate in upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, and platform optimization. Adhere to SDLC, coding standards, testing practices, and change management. Create technical designs and operational support documentation. Collaborate with QA on testing cycles and support production deployments. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of hands-on Calypso development experience. Strong Java skills with experience in Core Java and J2EE/Spring. Experience with Calypso APIs, Custom Engines, Scheduled Tasks, Workflows, and Event Processing. Strong SQL with Oracle or SQL Server, including PL/SQL. Integration experience with REST, SOAP, JMS, XML, JSON, FIX, or MQ. Unix/Linux proficiency and shell scripting capability. Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Maven, and CI/CD practices. Capital Markets Domain Expertise: Trade lifecycle management and front-to-back processing. OTC and exchange-traded derivatives, fixed income, equities, FX, and money markets. Securities financing, repos and reverse repos, and commodities (preferred). Trade capture, confirmations, settlements, collateral management, and margining. Corporate actions, cash management, market risk, credit risk, and regulatory reporting. Technical Skills: Calypso platform development. Java, J2EE, Spring Framework. Oracle SQL / PL-SQL. XML, XSLT. REST APIs, SOAP web services. JMS messaging, MQ Series. Unix/Linux, shell scripting. Git, Maven, Jenkins. Preferred Skills: Experience with Calypso upgrades and version migrations. Implementation experience on large Calypso programs. Knowledge of AWS or Azure. DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum. Integration experience with trading platforms, market data, and enterprise applications. Soft Skills: Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Clear verbal and written communication. Effective stakeholder engagement across trading, operations, risk, and leadership. Organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team. Nice to Have: Calypso certification. Experience with Murex, Summit, or similar platforms. Knowledge of SWIFT and FIX standards. Exposure to Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MiFID II, Basel III, or UMR. Experience supporting global financial institutions or investment banks.
