Your Next Assignment
Location: Tappahannock, VA
Position: Special Education Teacher
Schedule: Full-Time | 32 hours per week
Contract Dates: August 10, 2026 – May 27, 2027
Openings: 2 positions
Caseload: Approximately 14 students
Choose Your Classroom
Position 1: 2nd Grade
Collaborative instructional setting
Focus on supporting students within the classroom
Limited pull-out instruction preferred
Position 2: 1st–4th Grade
Self-contained Special Education classroom
Approximately 14 students on the caseload
What You Need
- Must have 2+ years of school-based Special Education experience
- Must hold an active VA Special Education licensure
- Must have Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education or related field
Travel Teachers, Come Explore Virginia
You don't have to live in Virginia to make this opportunity yours. Traveling Special Education Teachers are welcome to apply! Spend the school year experiencing a new area while doing work that makes a difference for students and families.
