\nPosition Summary
\nSumma Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join our growing outpatient behavioral health practice in Green, Ohio, conveniently located between Akron and Canton. This physician will become part of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team dedicated to delivering comprehensive, evidence-based psychiatric care within one of Northeast Ohio's leading integrated healthcare systems.
\nThe successful candidate will join a collaborative team of psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed independent social workers, counselors, and addiction medicine specialists. This outpatient-focused opportunity offers a strong referral base, academic involvement, and access to a full continuum of behavioral health services.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality outpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
\n - \n
Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices
\n - \n
Collaborate with psychologists, advanced practice providers, social workers, counselors, and addiction medicine specialists to coordinate patient care
\n - \n
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Epic EMR system
\n - \n
Participate in call coverage as assigned
\n - \n
Contribute to quality improvement and clinical excellence initiatives
\n - \n
Engage in teaching and mentorship activities for residents and medical students, if desired
\n - \n
Participate in research and academic activities as appropriate
\n

Qualifications/Required

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)

Eligible for an unrestricted Ohio medical license
\n - \n
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
\n - \n
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
