PSO/T&M Billing Specialist (Hybrid)

Kforce has a client in need of a PSO/T&M Billing Specialist. This role will be working in a hybrid environment in Carmel Valley, CA. Responsibilities: Generate and manage project invoices based on approved labor, expenses, budgets, and contractual requirements Review project documentation and client agreements to ensure billing accuracy and compliance Validate time records, project charges, billing rates, and supporting documentation prior to invoicing Collaborate with project leaders to confirm deliverables, project status, and billing readiness Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment variances, and client inquiries Maintain and reconcile customer accounts, payment records, and outstanding balances Support collection efforts through professional client communications Monitor invoice aging and assist with accounts receivable activities Prepare financial reports related to billing performance, receivables, and project activity Assist with month-end close and financial reconciliation processes Identify opportunities to improve billing workflows, accuracy, and operational efficiency Partner with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, project management, and leadership teams to support business objectives Requirements: 3+ years of experience in billing, invoicing, revenue operations, accounts receivable, or a related financial function Experience supporting contract-driven or project-based billing environments Working knowledge of: Time and Materials billing Fixed-price invoicing Project accounting concepts Contract compliance requirements Accounts receivable processes Experience reviewing labor hours, project costs, rates, and financial documentation Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong customer service mindset and relationship-building skills The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
