Your home base will be at a specialized education site, with assignments throughout the county, allowing you to broaden your experience and support a variety of student needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state license or certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience or practicum in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
  • Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and special education processes
  • Ability to develop rapport and communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Comfortable working flexibly at multiple school sites as assignments require

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for IEP eligibility and planning
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and behavior intervention plans
  • Provide direct counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services to students
  • Support data-driven, evidence-based practices and decision-making within school teams
  • Offer expertise on mental health, learning disabilities, and effective interventions for student support
  • Serve as a resource for special education law, eligibility, and best practices
