Special Education Teacher - Shaftsbury, VT

Key Qualifications:

• Certification in Special Education for Early Childhood in Vermont, or eligibility for a provisional license
• Proven experience working with young children in special education settings is preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school teams
• Flexibility to travel between multiple sites as needed

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and supports to young children with identified needs
• Develop and implement IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal special education regulations
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
• Collaborate with general educators, specialists, and families to create inclusive learning environments
• Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers across multiple school sites
