As an itinerant educator, you will serve students across 3-4 different sites, providing vital early intervention and special education services. The caseload may grow throughout the year, ensuring a dynamic and engaging environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification in Special Education for Early Childhood in Vermont, or eligibility for a provisional license
- Proven experience working with young children in special education settings is preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school teams
- Flexibility to travel between multiple sites as needed
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and supports to young children with identified needs
- Develop and implement IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Collaborate with general educators, specialists, and families to create inclusive learning environments
- Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers across multiple school sites
