Special Education Teacher - Phoenix, AZ

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must hold a valid Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License
• Current K-12 Special Education certificate required
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card mandatory
• Experience in self-contained behavior or autism support classrooms strongly preferred
• Understanding and responsiveness to the needs of at-risk, ethnically diverse, limited English proficient, and exceptional students
• Proven background in developing and implementing special services activities, adhering to federal, state, and district guidelines
• Completion of Essential Element of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training or willingness to participate in staff development

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction and structured support to students in a self-contained environment
• Foster growth in prosocial behavior and self-regulation
• Collaborate with faculty, therapists, and families to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Prepare and maintain special education documentation and assessments in compliance with regulatory standards
