Step into an impactful role supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher for a contract position covering a maternity leave. This opportunity, beginning in September and continuing through December, offers a great chance to collaborate with dedicated educators and make a meaningful difference in a resource and co-teaching setting.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience working with high school students, preferably in a resource or co-teaching environment
  • Strong knowledge of IEPs, differentiated instruction, and progress monitoring
  • Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, case managers, and related service providers
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support students’ diverse learning needs

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high school caseload, providing instructional support in both resource room and co-teaching settings
  • Deliver individualized and small group instruction to meet students’ IEP goals
  • Implement accommodations and modifications within the general education classroom
  • Monitor and document student progress, participating in IEP meetings and parent conferences as needed
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages academic and personal growth
  • Work closely with other educators and staff to ensure seamless service delivery during the maternity leave period
