School Occupational Therapist | Washoe Valley, Nevada

Key Qualifications:

• Active Nevada Occupational Therapy license required
• Previous experience in school-based OT or pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Ability to manage and organize a caseload of 50-55 students across K-12
• Proficiency in conducting evaluations, assessments, and delivering both direct and consultative therapy
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff
• Must complete mandated background checks and fingerprinting, along with a drug screening

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide OT services across 3-4 schools, supporting students at various campuses; specific site locations will be determined
• Perform comprehensive therapy sessions, evaluations, and assessments fostering students’ academic and functional growth
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans while monitoring student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to maximize student participation in school activities
• Document therapy encounters thoroughly and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and legal requirements
• Actively participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
