Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher (state-specific credentials as required)
• Proven experience working with students with multiple disabilities, ideally in a K-8 setting
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, especially with support staff and families
• Strong organizational and classroom management skills
• Compassionate, patient, and innovative in your teaching approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver lesson plans individualized to students’ IEPs and learning abilities
• Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive environment for all students
• Supervise, guide, and collaborate with paraprofessionals and the LPN to ensure consistent support and optimal student care
• Track student progress and adapt instruction as needed, maintaining clear documentation
• Communicate regularly with families and other professionals about student achievements and needs

Schedule and Environment:

• Enjoy a consistent Tuesday through Friday workweek, 6:30am–3:30pm, with one Thursday extending to 4:30pm
• Engage in meaningful, hands-on teaching with a manageable class size, allowing for genuine connections and deep learning
