Special Education Teacher | Hopewell, Virginia

You will manage a caseload of up to 14 students, including the important responsibilities of writing and implementing IEPs, progress monitoring, and collaborating with team members during meetings. The position runs from 8:45 am to 4:15 pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week. This is a W2 contract role. Enjoy hourly pay ranging from $31 to $34, based on experience.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience developing, writing, and monitoring IEPs
• Ability to provide engaging, adaptive instruction based on individual needs
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities
• Previous experience in a school-based special education setting preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as case manager for a caseload of up to 14 students
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans in alignment with IEP goals
• Conduct progress monitoring and data collection to inform instruction
• Attend and actively participate in meetings with stakeholders, including families and multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
