This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) runs from August 20, 2026, to November 3, 2026, offering the chance to work closely with young learners and help them develop essential skills in a school-based setting near Elgin, IL.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license required
  • Experience in early childhood or kindergarten settings strongly preferred
  • Previous work in school-based OT roles is a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff
  • Ability to create engaging, individualized treatment plans that foster student growth
  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation processes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy to early childhood and kindergarten students, supporting their fine motor, sensory, and self-regulation development
  • Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to adapt the classroom environment and instructional strategies for student success
  • Conduct evaluations and contribute to educational planning meetings
  • Monitor student progress, document services and outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed to ensure meaningful gains
  • Educate families and caregivers on strategies to reinforce therapy goals at home and in the community
  • Participate as a valued team member in a supportive, student-focused work environment
