Special Education Teacher in Robbins, TN

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of middle school students by providing specialized support as a contract Special Education Teacher. This rewarding position is available for the upcoming school year and involves working closely with students who have Specific Learning Disabilities, Other Health Impairments, and Language Impairments. With the caseload varying between 12 to 22 students, you'll have the opportunity to focus on individualized instruction and co-teaching in general education settings to foster inclusive learning environments.

Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee Special Education Teaching Certification (accepted endorsements: 144, 145, or 461)
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Strong ability to deliver targeted academic interventions in reading and math
• Passion for inclusive education and collaborative teaching
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and interventions tailored to students’ individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Partner with general education teachers to co-teach and support students within mainstream classrooms
• Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed
• Foster a safe, supportive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
• Collaborate with support staff and families to optimize student outcomes

Enjoy a structured schedule with a 37.5-hour workweek Monday through Friday, starting in early August and concluding at the end of May. Compensation for this role ranges from $35 to $40 per hour.
