About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Credit & Collections Specialist to join their finance team. This position is responsible for managing customer accounts, collecting outstanding balances, resolving payment disputes, and helping minimize credit risk while supporting positive customer relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced collections professional who enjoys balancing customer service, problem-solving, and financial analysis in a fast-paced business environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of business-to-business (B2B) customer accounts and drive timely collection of outstanding receivables.
  • Contact customers via phone and email regarding past-due balances and negotiate payment arrangements when necessary.
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, disputed invoices, and credit-related issues.
  • Partner with internal departments, including Sales and Customer Service, to resolve account concerns and improve collections performance.
  • Review customer creditworthiness and assist with establishing credit limits and risk classifications.
  • Monitor aging reports and proactively identify delinquent accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer communications, payment commitments, and account activities within ERP systems.
  • Support cash flow objectives while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end Accounts Receivable activities as needed.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in credit, collections, accounts receivable, finance, or B2B customer service.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including aging reports and account analysis.
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume portfolio of customer accounts while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to customer service.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
