Job Title: RN - Pediatric

Department: Med Surg - 4N

Schedule: Full Time, Night Shift, 36 Hours/Week (7 PM - 7 AM), Every 3rd Weekend

Preferred Experience: Familiarity with pediatric hematology/oncology is advantageous.

Shift Differentials: Available for night and weekend shifts

Job Overview

The role involves delivering direct nursing care in line with the established policies, procedures, and protocols of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and oversee patient care plans.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
  • Act as the primary coordinator among various disciplines to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Execute physician and nursing orders accurately.
  • Assess and manage patient discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing school or equivalent educational background for licensing.
  • Experience: No prior experience is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent verbal communication to convey information.
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Regular lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, reaching, and data entry using a keyboard.
  • Regular visual acuity for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, including color differentiation.
  • Frequent olfactory recognition for detecting odors.
  • Regular auditory skills to receive verbal communication and identify sounds such as alarms.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional patient handling and various physical movements including bending and twisting.
  • Rarely involves crawling or running.
