Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Demonstrated experience serving students with severe behavior challenges.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification or willingness to obtain preferred.
- Capable of developing and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans.
- Strong communication skills for working with students, staff, and families.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet unique classroom needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Directly provide instruction and support to four students, utilizing specialized strategies tailored to severe behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related services, and family members to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Implement positive behavior interventions and document student progress.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing classroom conducive to both academic and social-emotional development.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing team-based decision-making.
