Special Education Teacher | Weatherford, Texas

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Demonstrated experience serving students with severe behavior challenges.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification or willingness to obtain preferred.

• Strong communication skills for working with students, staff, and families.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet unique classroom needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Directly provide instruction and support to four students, utilizing specialized strategies tailored to severe behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related services, and family members to foster a supportive learning environment.
• Implement positive behavior interventions and document student progress.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing classroom conducive to both academic and social-emotional development.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing team-based decision-making.
