Opportunities include four Middle School resource teacher roles, roles in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) center-based programs at two elementary schools, and a Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) center for mild/moderate needs at the middle school level. These center-based positions support students in cross-categorical settings, requiring nuanced skills in behavior management.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential in one or more of the following:
  • Special Education: Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Special Education: Developmental Disabilities
  • Special Education: Early Childhood
  • Special Education: Emotional Behavioral Disorders
  • Special Education: Learning Disabilities
  • Special Education: Academic & Behavioral Strategist (ABS) License (optional)
• Demonstrated expertise in behavior strategies and problem-solving within special education settings
• Understanding of behavior intervention plans, structured classroom routines, and differentiated instruction
• Collaborative mindset to partner effectively with both special and general education staff, as well as paraprofessionals
• Strong instructional and communication skills
• Reliable attendance and professional accountability

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
• Apply evidence-based strategies for behavior support and academic progress
• Create positive, structured learning environments
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams and families to ensure holistic support
• Mentor and coordinate paraprofessionals in delivering specialized services
