Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting students with diverse learning needs as a Special Education Teacher. Several contract opportunities are available for the upcoming school year, with multiple openings across Mild/Moderate, Resource Specialist, Special Day Class, and Emotional Disturbance classrooms. Full-time positions run from August 12, 2026, through June 4, 2027, providing a chance to guide students’ progress and collaborate with a passionate staff in an engaging onsite environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Credential
- Experience working with students in Mild/Moderate, Resource Specialist, Special Day Class, or Emotional Disturbance settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Strong ability to differentiate instruction and manage classroom behavior
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom community
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt individualized education plans to address diverse student needs
- Deliver engaging lessons while tracking progress toward IEP goals
- Foster strong communication and collaboration with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Utilize positive behavior support strategies that encourage social, emotional, and academic growth
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all district and state requirements
