An exciting, full-time opportunity awaits for an onsite School Psychologist to provide essential support to students and staff in a welcoming educational environment near Portsmouth, VA. From now through the end of June 2027, your expertise will help foster academic, social, and emotional growth, making a lasting impact throughout the school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist, or eligibility to obtain
  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
  • Solid background conducting psychological assessments and interpreting results
  • Experience in developing and implementing behavior management strategies
  • Strong knowledge of special education processes and IEP development
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, educators, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation to students and staff
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design intervention strategies
  • Support preventative and responsive services that promote students’ well-being
  • Facilitate parent meetings and participate in multidisciplinary team evaluations
