Early Childhood Education (ECE) Kindergarten School Occupational Therapist - Des Plaines, Illinois

An exciting contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to provide services to early childhood and kindergarten students from August 20, 2026, through November 3, 2026. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Occupational Therapist license (OT) in Illinois
• Experience working with early childhood and kindergarten populations in a school setting
• Knowledge of pediatric therapy best practices and IEP development
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
• Adaptability to work within various classroom environments

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions to support the development of foundational motor, sensory, and self-help skills in young learners
• Assess students’ needs and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to create supportive, accessible classroom strategies
• Provide direct therapy in small group and one-on-one settings
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services rendered
• Participate in team meetings, staff consultations, and professional development as needed
