Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in special education or a related field
  • Valid CDE license, with a mild to moderate endorsement
  • Experience teaching elementary students in special education settings preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and differentiated support to students with varied learning needs in small groups
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitor progress, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Establish a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
  • Engage with parents, caregivers, and general education staff to promote student success
  • Collect data and maintain accurate records to document student progress and meet compliance standards
  • Foster students’ self-advocacy, confidence, and social skills within the school setting
