School Physical Therapist | West Hartford, Connecticut

Step into a rewarding role providing vital physical therapy services to K-12 students during the upcoming academic year! This full-time, in-person opportunity runs from August 2026 through June 2027. Support students’ growth and development across a districtwide caseload, making a substantial impact in an engaging and collaborative school environment.

Your expertise will help foster students’ abilities and independence, as you work Monday through Friday, with 32-37.5 hours weekly. You’ll be part of a committed support team dedicated to student wellness, learning, and inclusion.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Connecticut
• Experience working with pediatric and/or school-based caseloads (K-12 preferred)
• Ability to assess and implement individualized therapy plans
• Collaborative communication skills to coordinate with teachers, families, and staff
• Comfortable working across multiple school settings within the district
• Commitment to in-person service for the full 2026-2027 school year
• Strong documentation and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students’ physical therapy needs and develop effective, individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct physical therapy interventions geared toward educational access and participation
• Consult and collaborate with classroom staff, special educators, and families
• Maintain detailed student records and progress reports
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
• Support safe transfers, mobility, and adaptive equipment as needed
