Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or higher)
  • Previous experience working in school settings preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with children, parents, and educational staff
  • Expertise in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Proficiency with assessments, documentation, and educational technologies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students, enhancing their independence and participation in school activities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and maintain accurate records according to district, state, and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to deliver integrated support plans
  • Develop and adapt activities and materials to address students’ sensory, motor, and functional needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to planning and goal-setting for students on caseload
  • Offer guidance and in-service training for school staff regarding student needs and accommodations
  • Maintain compliance with professional standards, policies, and ethics at all times
