Job Summary:

The role involves operating a scanner to capture images essential for diagnosing and treating various conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients while accurately selecting anatomical and technical parameters to generate cross-sectional images.
  • Conduct pre-screening, scheduling, and provide education to patients regarding their examinations.
  • Input and monitor patient data, ensuring images are transferred correctly.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications in accordance with established practices and regulations.
  • Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including correct lead markers and patient information.
  • Maintain equipment functionality and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Help keep the department clean and organized, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
  • Work with a constant focus on safety and alertness.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of an MRI or Radiology Technology program.

Experience Requirements:

  • No prior experience necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of vision for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances.
  • Regularly use hearing and speech for effective communication.
  • Ability to hear body sounds and alarms from equipment.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Regularly assist in lifting and moving patients.
  • Frequent reaching, gripping, and data entry tasks.
  • Occasional lifting of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional use of vision to differentiate colors.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements of limbs.
  • Rarely kneeling or sitting.
