Key Qualifications:

  • Valid credential to teach special education in California
  • Proven experience or student teaching in Mild/Moderate, Resource Specialist, Special Day Class, or Emotional Disturbance settings
  • Ability to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and parents
  • High level of adaptability and organizational skills
  • Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction to students in Mild/Moderate, Resource, Special Day Class, or Emotional Disturbance settings, depending on assignment
  • Create and modify lesson plans to meet individual student goals
  • Administer, monitor, and assess IEPs in compliance with legal and district guidelines
  • Engage in regular communication with families on student progress and development
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Document and maintain accurate records related to educational progress and compliance

This contract opportunity spans the new school year from August 12, 2026 to June 4, 2027, and offers competitive pay based on experience. You’ll work onsite Monday through Friday as part of a passionate, student-centered special education team.
