Roles available include both learning specialist and affective needs positions, spanning from mild/moderate to severe cognitive/behavioral caseloads. Assignments are located at elementary sites, each offering supportive environments and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Colorado Department of Education Teacher license with Special Education Generalist (5-21) endorsement required
  • Experience with mild/moderate and/or severe cognitive, emotional, and behavioral disabilities
  • Familiarity with CPI, ABA principles, FBA and BIP (as applicable to assignment)
  • Autism experience is necessary for certain roles
  • Strong skills in behavioral interventions and team leadership

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct educational and behavioral support to assigned caseload
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals and other service providers (speech, OT, psych)
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and behavioral plans
  • Foster an inclusive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
  • Communicate regularly with school principals and multidisciplinary teams
