Step into a vital role serving students as a School Psychologist. This contract opportunity offers a chance to make a direct impact at the Monessen Elementary Center, supporting learners, families, and educators in their academic and emotional growth.
This position is available immediately and extends through June 11, 2027. Initially, you will provide coverage for a maternity leave anticipated to last until January 19, 2027 (subject to change). Should the current staff member return on schedule, the remainder of the term you’ll lend your expertise across the district, focusing on evaluations, support services, and adult education needs as needed. The flexibility to work full-time or at least three days per week is available, allowing you to find the right fit that suits your schedule.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and active School Psychologist Educator Certificate in Pennsylvania is required
- Experience providing psychological services in educational settings is highly preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, consultation, and supporting diverse student populations
- Adaptability to shift between assigned caseloads and floating support roles as needed
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations
- Provide direct and consultative support for students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Collaborate closely with educators, staff, and families to design interventions
- Support school-wide mental health initiatives and contribute to IEP and eligibility processes
- Adapt to varying assignments based on school needs through the contract period
