Respiratory Therapist

  • Shift: 12hr Night Shift - 36

  • Shift Information: 1900-0700

  • Clinical Interviewing- Yes/No: Yes

  • On Call, Call Back Requirements: None

  • Weekend Rotation: EOW

  • Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays

  • Floating Requirements: Region 2 - Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main + CMC Mercy + Levine Children's Hospital)

  • Teaching Hospital: NO

  • Chest Pain Center:YES

  • Stroke Center: YES

  • Level III NICU

  • Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Department Information:

  • Average patients/day? 300+

  • Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 yrs Respiratory Therapy

  • Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

  • Adult Care, NICU (no pediatric)

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (Resource Team requirements)

  • RRT or CRT

  • NC Licensure

Skills required:

  • Critical Care

  • CVICU

  • NICU

  • ED

  • Progressive Care

  • All Floor Therapies

Support within the Department:

  • Respiratory Care Leadership and staff

Technology/Equipment:

  • EMR: EPIC

  • Department specific Equipment: Servo ventilators (to include I, U, and Airs), Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, bubble cpap

Floating:

  • Will be required to float per Region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable

  • Region 2 - Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, any Freestanding ED within Region, Central Division (CMC Main + CMC Mercy + Levine Children's Hospital)

  • If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)

  • 2 days departmental
