Special Education Teacher - Edwards, California

Step into a rewarding contract position as a Special Education Teacher with a full-time schedule, beginning August 3rd. This onsite role is an excellent opportunity to impact the lives of students by providing customized instruction and support across a vibrant school community. As a dedicated Education Specialist, you’ll join a collaborative environment and work regular weekdays from 8:00 AM to 3:15 PM, totaling 40 hours each week.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong understanding of diverse learning styles and adaptive teaching strategies
• Ability to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Excellent collaboration skills for working with staff, families, and related service providers
• Commitment to maintaining accurate records and ongoing communication with all stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction in accordance with students’ IEP goals
• Assess students’ strengths and needs, adapting lessons for optimal accessibility and engagement
• Work closely with classroom teachers to modify curriculum and coordinate support
• Monitor student progress and document achievements, ensuring compliance with educational requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain ongoing communication with parents and team members
• Contribute to the overall positive, inclusive school climate
