The assignment runs from August 3, 2026, to June 7, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, all onsite.

Key qualifications:

• Valid and active Indiana teaching license in Special Education (proof required during application)
• Experience working with students with mild disabilities preferred
• Ability to create and deliver individualized educational programs
• Excellent communication and behavioral management skills

Primary responsibilities:

• Support and instruct a self-contained classroom for students in grades served at Tenth Street Elementary
• Develop, implement, and document Individualized Education Plans (IEP) tailored to each student’s needs
• Track student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly
• Provide a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment
• Collaborate with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and families to promote consistent student growth
• Offer encouragement, guidance, and innovative support for all enrolled learners
