Embark on a fulfilling contract position supporting students as a School Psychologist in the Portage, IN area. Two positions are available for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity involves working across multiple sites with a home base at the SELF school, allowing you to make a broad impact throughout the county.

Utilize your expertise to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create a positive and supportive educational environment while assessing and addressing student needs. Each workday consists of 7 hours, typically scheduled between 7:45 am and 3:15 pm. Caseloads will be assigned according to district needs, providing the chance to develop your skills working with a variety of student populations.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current license/certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience or training in educational settings, preferably K-12
  • Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
  • Ability to adapt to multiple work sites with flexibility and professionalism
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer psycho-educational assessments and interpret results
  • Provide individual and group counseling as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering recommendations and support
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective interventions
  • Support positive behavioral interventions and mental health initiatives
  • Maintain detailed documentation and comply with all relevant regulations
