Adecco is partnering with a well-established construction organization in New Rochelle, NY, to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking a stable, long-term position with a reputable company.
Position OverviewThe Accounts Payable Specialist will report directly to the VP of Finance and be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounts payable functions while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and reconcile vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
Enter invoices into the accounting system with a high level of accuracy
Prepare and maintain tax-exempt certificates
Assist with corporate credit card reconciliations
Perform scanning, filing, copying, and other administrative duties
Provide backup receptionist coverage when needed
Assist with departmental projects and special assignments
Communicate professionally with vendors, management, and team members
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Support the Finance Department with additional duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
4–6 years of Accounts Payable experience required
Construction industry experience strongly preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with Timberline and/or Viewpoint is a plus
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Notary Public certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification
Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
